This Love in Action project was delayed for several weeks while Lee was in a physical rehabilitation facility following back surgery. I went to visit her to assess her needs. We hit it off immediately. She is a 79 year old woman who lives alone in her senior apartment. Her mind is sharp and she has a spunky and optimistic outlook. She uses a wheelchair as her feet are a little numb following the surgery. She can stand and understands her current limitations.

This past Saturday, Lisa Dally and Pamela Shrum joined me, for a total of three of us, in taking care of everything on Lee's and more. We accomplished just that! In addition to Lee's wish list, Lisa made her chicken fettuccine, green beans and brownies. Lee loved the salad that Pamela brought her. I bought Lee a small plant. I also bought Lee, Lisa and Pamela small gifts. There were all a joy to work with. We were done in under two hours. We moved furniture, cleaned windows and glass door, and a mirror, dusted both ceiling fans, clean the refrigerator, cleaned the microwave. She wanted her winter clothes taken out of the closet and stored under her bed (in box and bag). We even led her in prayer. All in all it was a wonderful day in the Lord! And the frosting on the cake was that Lisa, Pamela and I, who sing in the choir together, got to know each other's story a little bit more.
