2HH02 - Backcountry Outdoor Clean Up
Thank you for taking the time and interest in volunteering. We appreciate your service. Some projects take a village to complete. Our plan, weather permitting, is finish building our amphitheater, remove cactus and other various duties to help us complete our community area.
Directions: Highlands Ranch Parkway and Santa Fe (near Murdoch's), travel 3.5 miles south on Santa Fe. Turn left (east) on Ron King Trail. Once on Ron King, you will pass under a large metal gate that says "Law Enforcement Training Facility" and you will see signs that are a bit intimidating. No worries! You will also see HRCA Backcountry signs with arrows. Continue straight for 1.25 miles. The road will dead end into the Law Enforcement Training Facility parking lot. At the parking lot entrance, take the dirt road that goes off to the right. Drive 0.2 miles on the dirt road to reach the Backcountry Wilderness Area parking lot. Keep following our signs for additional guidance.
Project Attire: Please wear your Love In Action t-shirt, preferably long pants, closed toe shoes and work gloves. Please bring a water bottle, lunch and snacks. Please wear sunscreen and sunglasses. We will have access to clean drinking water to fill up your water bottles.
We appreciate your interest in helping to serve. We are excited to connect with you.
