2HH01 - Backcountry Outdoor Clean Up

We welcome you to come and enjoy the outdoors in the HRCA Backcountry.  We will have many projects to choose from.  We will be clearing an area to install an amphitheater with tree stumps, planting milkweed seeds, new archery set up, and cactus removal.  Weather in the next couple weeks will determine which projects will take priority.  

Directions:  Highlands Ranch Parkway and Santa Fe (near Murdoch’s), travel 3.5 miles south on Santa Fe.  Turn left (east) on Ron King Trail.  Once on Ron King, continue straight for 1.25 miles. The road will dead end into the Law Enforcement Training Facility parking lot.  At the parking lot entrance, take the dirt road that goes off to the right.  Drive 0.2 miles on the dirt road to reach the Backcountry Wilderness Area parking lot.  Follow our signs for additional guidance.

Project Attire: Wear your Love In Action t-shirt, preferably long pants, closed toe shoes and work gloves.  Please bring a water bottle, lunch and snacks.  Please wear sunscreen and sunglasses for eye protection.  We will have access to clean drinking water to fill up your water bottle
