172ND01 -New Life Block Party

New Life In Christ Church has been working with the poor and underprivileged in the downtown and Lakewood area for 44 years.  The church is located in a poor area of Lakewood along the West Colfax corridor and each spring we host a block party to reconnect with the people in our area and meet those who are new.  The block party is a carnival-themed event with games, food, music, etc.  The main focus is to develop relationships and let people know about the church, our ministry partners, and the services we all provide. In addition we promote our 4-week summer camp, Zócalo.

CHCC will help with planning and putting on the Block Party. This is a great opportunity for families and small groups to serve together and give back to a close ministry partner of Cherry Hills for many years. 

The actual event will run from 12:00 to 2:30; we can use a few people to come early to help set up and some to stay afterwards to help clean up.
