172ID01 - After School Recess With Inner City Youth

WHEN
May 5 2017 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM (MDT)
WHERE
Denver, Colorado

Situated just south of the Broncos stadium, Sun Valley Is the poorest neighborhood in Denver. Home to approximately 1,400 people, over half of whom are minor children, most residents live in public housing. Alongside the large number of Hispanic and Africa American households, there are also many immigrant and refugee families, making Sun Valley a true melting pot.

Love In Action will give you the opportunity to be introduced to this beautifully diverse neighborhood. We will serve alongside Hope In Our City and the Sun Valley Youth Center for a Friday after school recess. Hope In Our City works to build relationships and meet the unique needs of immigrant and refugee families. Sun Valley Youth Center provides an after school program to serve inner city youth. Both organizations desire to see children and families empowered to reach their God-given potential. This event will allow you to meet and play alongside the kids and learn about opportunities to serve in the inner city on an ongoing basis.

We will be meeting at Fairview Elementary School's playground: 2715 W 11th Ave, Denver, CO 80204. There is parking on the street. This is a family friendly event.
