Connor's Story - Run Cancer Out of Town Honoring Dawn Kelsey

My name is Connor LeFebre, and I am a 7th Grade student at Cherry Hills Christian Middle School. I started Run Cancer Out of Town to raise money with hopes of finding a cure for cancer. My mother, Dawn Kelsey, had terminal small cell lung cancer, which she died from in January. During her suffering, I wanted to help. My heart was just hurting every time she would cough and be in such pain. I will continue this event to honor her. I really want to make a difference in the world, and help those still suffering from this terrible disease.
This is the 2nd Annual Run Cancer Out of Town Race. Last year, this 5K raised close to $38,000! With your support and dedication to volunteering, we hope to meet our goal of $50,000 with 300 people participating. I would be honored if you would be part of our event. Please join us in gathering the community and helping a wonderful cause in honor of my dear mom, and all those suffering from cancer.
